Do you want to enjoy superior Florida medical insurance at dirt cheap rates? If you must attract big discounts, then you must NOT forget certain things. I'll share a good number of them in this article...

1. There are drugs that are big brand names. You'll increase your costs if you use big brand name drugs. But did you know that every generic drug has the same active agents as its big brand name version? The inactive agents are the only dissimilarities between generic drugs and brand names.

Therefore, by using brand names you surely aren't enjoying more value although they cost a lot more. But take the time to ask a doctor you can truly trust about this before you settle for any drug.

2. Electronic Funds Transfer (abbreviated as EFT) is a smart way to lower your premium. This authorizes your bank to credit your insurance provider with your payments without any intervention from you until you advise otherwise. This eliminates administrative costs like those involved in mailing payment notices. This is why this attracts discounts.

3. The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) insurance is a good alternative for affordable coverage if you have a pre-existing illness that makes standard individual Florida medical insurance hard to get or too expensive.

4. People who own home businesses are offered a unique chance to save in some states. This is because home based businesses are offered the same low rates that insurance providers offer their bigger counterparts.

Having just a staff qualifies a home business for such low rates in several states.

You can have your spouse or grown up child to work as an employee. Furthermore, you will still qualify if that single staff works only part time.

Group rates are usually cheaper so ensure that you take advantage of this if you're a home business owner.

You can find out home businesses that are eligible for group rates in your state by visiting your state's department of insurance or its equivalent.

5. There are things that you would do well not to see a doctor about as it only increases your health care cost without doing you any real good. Clear example are viral infections like flu about which your doctor can really do nothing. Using some home remedies will actually help in those situations. It is generally known that doctors cannot do you much good if you have a viral infection.

So is it wise to spend nearly $100 to visit a doctor when you already know that your situation would not be helped much? I also think there are little home incidents that your first aid box will take good care of.
It is better to learn how to take care of simple home incidents especially if you have kids. Most of those incidents would be well attended to if you spend time learning a little about first aid and also have a good first aid box.

But even in those situations if you are not sure go and see a doctor because it is better to lose money than to jeopardize your life. But, please, know your bounds and don't forget that there are situations you must take to a doctor even if you know what to do. The law stops you from doing certain things if you're not a certified medical doctor. Handle what you should and allow your doctor handle those he/she should. You'll pay less on your Florida medical insurance without endangering anyone if you do this.
